"We just returned from our vacation to England, Scotland, France and Italy. While away we stayed at five different self catering accomodations. My entire family agrees (6 of us) that the Causwayside was the best of all of them. The apartment was clean, newly renovated, warm and welcoming. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils. The fresh flowers and fruit we received on our arrival made for a warm welcome and the specialty bars of soap and lotions in the bathroom gave a pampered feel to the place. It was easy to get to by public transit (however the bus line 42 schedule is a bit long between buses but that is not the reponsibility of the apartment owner) and if necessary, it can be walked from downtown. This apartment is perfect for a family of 4 but our family of six was comfortable in the space making use of the pull out sofa bed. After being in many other places, this was great value for the money and our only regret was that we didn't spend mor time here. We would definitely go back and recommend to our friends."

The photos of this apartment do not do the apartment justice. It is simply amazing. It's beautifully decorated to a very high standard with a good mix of period and modern features. I was a bit worried that the apartment was in an older building but it is warm and spacious and has a fantastic family kitchen. The best feature has to be the lovely comfy living room with the added bonus of a piano. As for location, it was perfect for the city centre. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

We really enjoyed our stay at the property my only point and it is very small is that the shower attachment on the basement bathroom is a bit fierce so a bit difficult to use. But it is a minor point as there is a shower upstairs which was ok for us.

we loved the accommodation a real home from home we had a really busy day on the Saturday and just wanted to curl up with a bit of diner and a glass of wine and we could not wait to get back as the accommodation was so good and allowed us to do this.

This was a fabulous accommodation. There were 4 of us and we have all rented on Homeaway many times. This was the best value for the money that any of us have experienced. The unit was flawless and spotless, and very well decorated and located.

Steven cooked one of the best dinners I have had in Edinburgh and June never let the glasses get empty. Everything was left immaculately clean and tidy at the end of the night and the whole experience was worth every penny! I honestly cannot think of anything I found lacking in the apartment or the accommodation. Everything was perfect, truly.

The apartment is a dream. Spacious, wonderful, with all one could wish for a self-catered apartment. Big rooms, two ensuite bathrooms and a main one, comfortable living-room with fireplace, also great heating, lovely decoration, well-appointed kitchen and ideal location. We were so cozy that one day we decided to spend our time in-house, it was snowing outside and it felt great to cook an easy meal and simply stretch out by the fireplace. Edinburgh is a beautiful city and it deserves to be enjoyed through a fantastic property such as Castle Terrace 9a Apartment.



We had not booked the Castle Terrace apartment but another one which presented some logistic problems that could not be fixed easily due to the extreme weather conditions (Dec. 2010, heavy snow in Edinburgh). The Edinburgh Address team moved swiftly and coordinated our relocation to Castle Terrace 9a, and did not leave until they made sure we were satisfied with the arrangements. Kudos for the fine organization, I will certainly book again through them.

The accommodation was perfect for our family, there were 9 adults and an 18 month old and we stayed for a week. We had more than enough room, with the bedrooms upstairs having en suites it didn't feel like everybody was on top of each other. The closed off garden is a perfect place for children to play and more than big enough for the family to have a very enjoyable BBQ. The house is in a beautiful area and provides a really enjoyable walk through Holyrood Park to the Royal Mile (approx 20mins). The pub around the corner from the property has a fabulous restaurant with a lovely bit of history attached to it (being the first ever public house opened in Scotland). We had a fantastic holiday and are already looking at booking again. The property is beautiful and in a fantastic location. Has everything you could think a real home from home. I have had a fantastic service from The Edinburgh Address from start to finish. A lot of it was done via email as the holiday was booked as a surprise but any questions were answered promptly and Erin was very helpful throughout. I did inquire if the property had a BBQ but I was told unfortunately not. However to my surprise on our arrival sure enough there was a little BBQ in the back garden, either way thank you. My first impressions were really good. As a family of five, I want furniture which is practical and not easily marked so I am not worrying all holiday. Practical leather sofas, solid kitchen furniture and wooden floors all made this easier. It was spacious, high ceilings and surprisingly well sound proof (we were staying over Easter when the students were away but I imagine at other times there would be more noise late at night at the weekends). Everything was very clean and the tempur mattresses were amazingly comfortable. We loved the accommodation - it was spacious, clean, practical and comfortable.

It is the little touches that made the difference. We loved having complimentary luxury Scottish smellies to use on holiday - and the children bathed in bubbles whilst I had the time to moisturise long neglected skin. We also appreciated fresh filter coffee and Scottish biscuits on arrival - very welcome after a four hour journey in the heat. I think it is very important to have washing up liquid, toilet rolls and even a little washing powder in the accommodation and this was all provided - as were ample supply of fresh towels, clean linen and tea towels.

Good communication by your staff who answered all queries promptly. All in all, an excellent service. I would also like to say I love the fact you collect and respond to feedback.

We stayed in this apartment for two weeks during the Festival season. It's a beautifully appointed apartment with all the facilities you could ask for. The location can't be beaten either; we particularly enjoyed being around the corner from Rose St with all its restaurants and pubs. From the moment we stepped inside we fell in love and found it ever so warm and welcoming. The hanging light fitting in the front reception room is very impressive and gives it a very "grand" feeling. The welcome tray of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits is a nice touch. It's exactly how it was described and once inside it was clear that the pictures cannot show just how inviting the property really is. The finishes are perfect, and everything that one needs during a stay is present. Being just the two of us we were spoilt in the 3 bedroom property but very quickly felt at home. Everything in the property was clean and well maintained, and fitted to the highest of standards. The location is fantastic, it's 10 minute walk to the station, the castle and to Princes street, 15 minutes to Holyrood Park where you have to walk up to Arthur's seat. Behind Princes street are numerous restaurants and bars available as well as along the Royal Mile. There is a local Sainsbury's just behind the house which is ideal for the necessary groceries. Edinburgh is a wonderful city, with everything being within walking distance, which is why we have returned again and again. We would definitely consider staying in George Square again.

Very good value. This is a fantastically located house within easy walking distance of most of the central city. It is fantastically spacious and airy, and the whole place was really comfortable. It was really handy to have fast wifi throughout the house. We loved the huge framed map! Nice to have a garden - this would be great in the summer. It was really quiet when we were there - but this was out of term time and I'm not sure how quiet it would be in term time.

Drumsheugh Studio apartment provided an ideal Valentine's retreat. Within minutes of entering the spotless, modern and uber chic apartment, we were raving about the great use of space. We settled in to enjoy some bubbly (thank you!) on the breakfast bar stools before our romantic meal literally a few minutes walk away. The warm welcome, easy system for receiving/dropping keys and the breakfast hamper were also much appreciated. If perfect does not exist, this studio is as close as you can get!

We felt it had everything for our family of five and couldn’t fault it at all.

Fab apartment, has everything you need and more! Plenty of space for 6 people and everything is finished to a very high standard.
Beds are really comfy and the little extras like the radios in the bathrooms make your stay that little bit more enjoyable.
Only took 5-10 minutes on the bus into the City Centre and the bus stop is right at the end of the street with buses every 10 minutes. Would definitely stay here again! N Farrington, UK
