9a Castle Terrace is one of our most luxurious and spacious properties with a 5 star wow factor. It is one of our keynote properties and one we are proud to present. It boasts gorgeous views of Edinburgh Castle and being city centre, is in the perfect location for enjoying all that Edinburgh has to offer.
The fabulous and extremely spacious interior is design led, the furnishings bespoke and the bathrooms and kitchen slick and modern. Castle Terrace is the perfect fusion of contemporary design with period features.
With 3 bedrooms there's plenty of room for a family or group. The huge master bedroom has a super king bed and the other bedrooms can either have super kings or 2 singles. There is an additional charge for use of the sofabed. Two of the bedrooms are en-suite and there is a third bathroom with a walk in shower. The spacious kitchen has a dining table for 6.
The apartment is situated in the most enviable position, just 5 minutes walk from Princes Street, and truly is the ideal Edinburgh accommodation for an indulgent break, entertaining corporate clients or for the business traveler.

Directions (The following directions are as they stand at the moment in Edinburgh. However, due to the Tram Works currently taking place in the city, some bus routes and roads may be closed/altered. Where this is the case, we recommend that you visit http://www.edinburghtrams.com/, which will bring you up to date with all local diversions.)
Getting there from Waverley Railway Station
Exit station onto Princes Street, turn left along Princes Street and continue to the end. At the Hilton Hotel turn left onto Lothian Road. Take the second left onto Castle Terrace and follow the road, the flat is on the right hand side of the road just before the NCP car park.
Getting there from the Airport
Take the Express Shuttle bus from Stand 19 just outside the UK arrivals hall into the city centre (buses approximately every 10 minutes, fare £3 single, £5 open return). Exit bus at Waverley Bridge, just off Princes Street. Follow instructions as above.
Getting there by car
If travelling from the North continue on the A90 signposted for Edinburgh. Take the exit onto the A90, go through two roundabouts. Turn left at A90/Manor Place where you turn left again after 0.3 miles onto A8/W Maitland Street. Continue along Shandwick Place and turn right onto Lothian Road. Then take the second left and the flat is on the right hand side of the road just before the entrance to the car park.
If travelling from the South continue to drive on the A1 and take the exit towards Craigmillar/Newcraighall at the roundabout take the first exit onto A6095/Newcraighall Road and continue to Cameron Toll Shopping Centre. Take the third exit onto Lady Road, continue along and then turn right onto Mayfield Road. Continue along the road until you come to the crossroads at the Meadows Park, turn left onto Melville Drive and continue all the way to Tollcross. At Tollcross turn right onto Lothian road and take the fourth exit on the right just after the Usher Hall. Follow the road round and the flat is on the right hand side of the road.
Metered parking bays on Castle Terrace. Free between 6:30pm and 8:30am. There is an NCP car park across the road from the apartment. The apartment is extremely well placed for exploring the city without a car. The centre is minutes walk. Within walking distance of the Airport Shuttle Bus drop off. Very short taxi or bus ride to Waverley or Haymarket Station (walkable too, but with luggage we advise a taxi).

Metred parking bays on Castle Terrace. Free between 6.30 p.m and 8.30 a.m. (7a.m on Saturdays) There is an NCP carpark across the road from the apartment.
The apartment is extremely well placed for exploring the city without a car; everything is within an easy 5 minute walk. Also, within walking distance of the Airport Shuttle Bus drop off point, Haymarket, and Waverley station.

[The Apartment] was amazing! Everything that was needed was there! The apartment was superb! The attention to detail in every room was brilliant. The whole apartment was a joy to stay in! I wouldn't hesitate to go back there. Every little thing we needed was available, from a Bugatti kettle to a spurtle for our porridge!
The Edinburgh Address is a very slick operation with an amazing personal touch. From the moment I booked to leaving the apartment, the service offered by the staff was superb. "I would highly recommend staying in this apartment when looking for an Edinburgh base. From the moment I made the initial enquiry with The Edinburgh Address to leaving 3 nights later I could not have asked for more helpful, courteous, caring assistance. This is a very slick operation with a very personal touch. All the staff are superb. I cannot find fault with anything at all. The apartment was sumptuous, tastefully decorated to a very high standard, and the facilities were amazing! The kitchen was very well stocked from a spurtle to stir your porridge with to a Bugatti kettle and plenty of tea and coffee. The apartment was spotless, with complimentary Orla Kiely bath accessories in all 3 bathrooms. The apartment is so well placed for accessing the castle, Princes Street and other attractions in Edinburgh. This apartment has clearly had a lot of hard work put into making it a high quality rental. I would not hesitate to return and hope to do so soon! Absolutely brilliant service all round! This was a fabulous accommodation. There were 4 of us and we have all rented on Homeaway many times. This was the best value for the money that any of us have experienced. The unit was flawless and spotless, and very well decorated and located.
Perfect service. We could not locate the password for the wifi and two of your reps, Rachel and Kirstie, came to our unit within 5 minutes. In addition to ensuring we were on the internet, they were full of information about Edinburgh and St. Andrews.

The location right across from the Edinburgh Castle was breathtaking time and again. We seemed to be just minutes away from everything. The remodeled apartment was very chic and up to date with every ammenity we needed. Welcome basket was so thoughtful, we enjoyed every item! [The Edinburgh Address was a] very professional team regarding our reservation, payments and deposit. Local representative stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed and got settled in. Easy system to obtain keys and gain entry. Cab stopped at our door!

Accommodation was brilliant. We were extremely comfortable and had everything we needed. 3 bathrooms was fantastic as there were 6 ladies in our party. The house was immaculately clean and the location was excellent for both shopping and sightseeing.
We took advantage of the "extras" provided by the company and hired a chef and a waitress for dinner on Saturday night. This really enhanced our stay and both Steven and June made us feel totally at ease and completely spoiled. Steven cooked one of the best dinners I have had in Edinburgh and June never let the glasses get empty. Everything was left immaculately clean and tidy at the end of the night and the whole experience was worth every penny! Everyone I have had contact with to book this weekend break has been courteous and helpful and I would definitely recommend this apartment and The Edinburgh Address Company to friends.

I would like to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay in the apartment at 9A Castle Terrace. We found the apartment to be very centrally located, clean and well equipped. This made the time we spent in Edinburgh very comfortable. Thank you for the thoughtful gift of champagne which we enjoyed with our New Year dinner. Just wanted to say what a fantastic weekend we had at 9a Castle Terrace - the apartment was beautiful, comfy, clean, located perfectly... can't fault anything at all! The bed situation worked out fine in the end - the double hadn't been made up as a twin so we were all happy!
Many thanks again, and hopefully I will have the opportunity to stay there (or one of your other apartments) again.

I honestly cannot think of anything I found lacking in the apartment or the accommodation. Everything was perfect, truly.
The apartment is a dream. Spacious, wonderful, with all one could wish for a self-catered apartment. Big rooms, two ensuite bathrooms and a main one, comfortable living-room with fireplace, also great heating, lovely decoration, well-appointed kitchen and ideal location. We were so cozy that one day we decided to spend our time in-house, it was snowing outside and it felt great to cook an easy meal and simply stretch out by the fireplace. Edinburgh is a beautiful city and it deserves to be enjoyed through a fantastic property such as Castle Terrace 9a Apartment.
We had not booked the Castle Terrace apartment but another one which presented some logistic problems that could not be fixed easily due to the extreme weather conditions (Dec. 2010, heavy snow in Edinburgh). The Edinburgh Address team moved swiftly and coordinated our relocation to Castle Terrace 9a, and did not leave until they made sure we were satisfied with the arrangements. Kudos for the fine organization, I will certainly book again through them.

"This is one of the best places I have stayed. The rooms were spacious, the flat was clean and the location was the best ever. We all loved the look of the flats as well, super hip and cool!!! The ability of seeing the castle right out of the window and just a minute or two walk to Princess St./Rose St. and the Saturday Farmers Market.
Everyone was super nice and accommodating to all of us, even with our annoying questions!!!"
