The Edinburgh Playhouse- Edinburgh’s Musical Showground
Ideally located at the bottom of Calton Hill, this historic theatre is within 10 minutes walking distance of The Stylish City Break @ Gayfield Square and our newest addition The Georgian Suite @ Royal Terrace.
If you like musicals and comedy then you are in for a treat! This busy theatre welcomes a variety of shows from Puttin’ on the Ritz (16th- 20th September) to Jersey Boys (8th- 25th October).
One of their highlights of this year is definitely the highly acclaimed musical Wicked which has won over one hundred awards and will be performing from the 19th November to the 10th January.

The King’s Theatre- From History to Murder Mystery
The King’s Theatre is located on Leven Street, only a short walk from our Classic Marchmont Charm @The Meadows, Traditional Marchmont@ The Meadows and Marchmont Main Door @ Spottiswoode Road.
Their programme is always packed with a multitude of plays including Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap (27th October- 1st November), which will leave you guessing until the very end.
Furthermore in commemoration of one hundred years since the start of World War One, there will be several plays dedicated to that era such as Regeneration (30th September- 5th October) or Sunset Song (7th-11th October).

The Royal Lyceum Theatre- Bringing Traditional and Modern Scotland Together
They Lyceum Theatre is ideally located on Lothian Road, only a few minutes walk from Castle View Apartment @Castle Terrace and Garden Apartment @ Castle Terrace and easily accessed from most of our apartments by bus or taxi.
Having just launched their new programme you can expect some fantastic performances such as Kill Johnny Glendenning (17th September- 11th October) or Bondangers (22nd October- 15th November).

Edinburgh Festival Theatre- Anything from Classic to Contemporary Dance
Centrally located on Nicholson Street, the Edinburgh Festival Theatre hosts event all year round including the Scottish Ballet and the Edinburgh International Festival.
Our apartments The Penthouse @ The Royal Mile, The Panoramic Penthouse @Quartermile and The Old Chapel @ George Square are ideal bases for visiting this venue, however it is only a short taxi or bus ride away from most of our apartments.
Whether you are looking for some Broadway Entertainment or a Classic Ballet, this venue will be great for any dance lover.
Some of the highlights include the highly acclaimed Top Hat (7th- 18th October) and the Scottish Ballet: The Nutcracker (13th December to 3rd January).
