May is shaping up to be an exciting month! There is so much going on in Edinburgh, more than usual it seems, and the sun is becoming a regular feature. We actually had our office neighbour ask for sun cream today, freckles are making a comeback as well. There's a lot to be happy about. Let's have a look see at what's in store for you lot this month...

We also have up to 25% off our beautiful apartments; you lucky people!

Tours seem to be the flavour of the month. For any theatre lovers there's a back stage tour of the King's Theatre and Festival Theatre on the 2nd and 3rd of May. It's so cool seeing the bare structure of a theatre before all the magic happens. Standing on the stage in front of all those seats (even when they're empty) is a little scary as well; those actors are fearless! Luckily our Castle View Apartment @ Castle Terrace and Garden Apartment @ Castle Terrace are close by so you can take a tour, see some theatre, wander home for a dinner in the luxury of their beautiful interiors. Princes St Gardens are a stone's throw away for relaxing in the sun with a lovely book. In case you need something a little extra to rewind and rejuvenate yourself you should head down to Sprunch at the Sheraton, despite the odd name this actually involves lovely spa treatments followed by a two course brunch including eggs Benedict, waffles and maple syrup, and gin. Bliss!

There are also tours of Holyrood Palace running in the morning and evening with pastries and tea/coffee. It even includes rooms normally reserved for regal eyes only and 'behind the ropes' access. There's also In Fine Style, an exhibition focussing on Tudor and Stuart fashion; some of the detailing is extraordinary!  Whether you go in the morning or evening, why not take a picturesque route home past Arthur's Seat to our Lakeside House @ Old Church Line? This is another property put together with your comfort at heart and with room enough for 10. There's even a garden in case you fancy a BBQ, or for another picturesque experience check out the well kept the local secret, Dr Neil's garden.

Continuing with the outdoor theme why not explore further afield whilst in the safety of the National Museum? The Wildlife Photographer of the year exhibition is on with 100 amazing images of all kinds of weird and wonderful animals across the world. There are all kinds of goodnesses happening at the National Museum this month. The Late Night at the Museum is always amazing, including a range of fantastic music. It's somehow easier to retain the fab facts found in a museum if there's a bar on site...The theme this time is Retro-future; dress up in a vintage or futuristic style for extra fun. Dr Who, aliens, a squirrel-spider hybrid, Queen Eilzabeth I, the options are endless. And The Old Chapel @ George Square is so close that you won't be at any risk of making too many passers-by jealous of your awesome costume as you walk between your beautifully designed apartment to the spectacular museum. Perfect.
