![]() This year, because of conservation work at Rosslyn Chapel Nonsenserooms regular venue The Scottish Mining Museum at Newtongrange is hosting the Nonsenseroom productions. The Scottish Mining Museum has been recently refurbished and boasts a splendid theatre space and modern visitor centre just 5 miles from Edinburgh City Centre and on frequent bus routes. This year Nonsenseroom are presenting two plays, a swashbuckling one for the whole family, Treasure Island based on the RLS Classic starting at 4pm and running from August 6th to the 29th (not the 8th, 15th or 22nd). This is a fun show and guests are welcome to dress for the part! Nonsenserooms main play is Ae Fond Kiss the story of Robert Burns written by Simon Beattie. This successful play was sold out when first performed and has been revised for the Homecoming Celebrations of 2009. Running on the same dates as Treasure Island Ay Fond Kiss starts at 7pm.
