The Royal Botanic Garden

It's said that the botanical gardens in Edinburgh is one of the best in the world with exotic plants and various trees from all over the world. In winter time, everything is covered in snow and if you come at the right time you can see how rare winter plants bloom.

Ice skating in St Andrews Square

One of my favorite activities during the winter is honestly, anything that you can do in the snow, but specifically ice skating. Your strap on your skates, step out onto the ice and just glide in tune to whatever Christmas song is playing overhead.

Palace of Holyroodhouse

The official residence of the British monarch in Scotland is situated opposite to Edinburgh Castle.
