Enjoy scrumptious food and drinks from the comfort of your holiday home.
Edinburgh is a heavenly food destination, populated with the best restaurants. With social distancing and changing circumstances, our local favourite have adapted, offering deliveries or takeaways.
From the 15th of July some restaurants will re-open. However, some of us might still prefer to eat delicious food from the comfort of your holiday home. If you are thirsty, we have added some bonus options too!
Seasonality dictates The Gardener’s Cottage menu, with dishes conjured from the garden and local farmers. Choose from their "never the sam" menu or order boxes of ingredients and recreate the meals at home.
Contini brings Southern Italian food to your table. Combining Scottish- and Italian-inspired dishes, its online menu is one to fall in love with. Homemade pastas as primi piatti (with fantastic ravioli) and for secondi, try the Milanese chicken, slow-cooked stew rabbit or cozze.
Another Italian choice we love is Origano and its "to-die-for" gourmet hand-stretched pizzas, cooked straight on the stone in their wood oven. They also do fantastic homemade lasagne, antipasto sharing platters, warm salads and delicious desserts.
This cozy and award winning restaurant offers a scrumptious menu, both for takeaway and deliveries options. Swiss-French chef Jérôme Henry will cook for you unique dishes for his menu, which includes Welsh rarebit, Orkney salmon, parmesan tart and more delicious dishes.
This beautiful restaurant, located int he bustling West End, offers its delectable classic French food for takeaway. Chef patron Fred Berkmiller and his team bring to you its impeccable French cuisine with the finest Scottish, seasonal larder. Our guests strongly recommend it!
This upmarket fish and chip shop with sustainable and fresh fish on the menu. From the classic haddock and chips to Scottish lobster grilled with garlic butter. You can take away or get it delivered using Deliveroo.
Slow fermented sourdough and pastries made in Edinburgh. If the idea of flavoursome pastries is not enough, think of all their jams, custards, pie fillings, and ricotta made daily in the bakery, using local, seasonal and organic ingredients!
Created by the owners of one of Edinburgh's best cafes, Ostara, Artisan Larder offers a wide range of local produce. Buy hampers stocked full of award winning Scottish products, to collect or select a convenient location to which they can deliver.
We have tried some of their Breakfast products and we fell in love with what they offer. We absolutely recommend them!
Edinburgh is home to fantastic 100% plant-based dishes, unique and tasty. From delicious vegan Mac & Cheese to baked goods and street food. These are some of our favourites:
The Stockbridge Mac & Cheese co. (Has vegan options)
Union of Genius (Best soups in town)
Roots (Breakfast, Lunch, Desserts and Veggie Boxes)
KaMa (Vegan Bakes)
Sipping a cocktail from the comfort of my home? I am in! The team at Tonic will put all their expertise into perfect little cocktail pockets ready for you to shake up and enjoy. The cocktail bar offers an award winning menu. See what takes your fancy, from Espresso Martini to a Bubble Gum Daiquiri (Mocktail).
This wine bar offers a selection of deli items and drinks for delivery. The selection includes Champagne, reds and whites, natural Scottish ciders and customer favourites burrata, house pickles and homemade preserves.
Now that you know of all the fantastic places you can order some delicious food, it is time to find the perfect holiday home to relax in.
