Christmas in Edinburgh will be a real cracker with these magical events taking place this year.
Edinburgh is absolutely a Christmas wonderland even without the famous Christmas Market there are still six markets you can explore! Let's take this opportunity to explore these wonderful events and maybe experience something new.
Despite this Chirstmas' major differences from last year's, you would be surprised of how many magical events will give you that unique festive feeling.
Before I share with you the list of things to do this winter remember to check directly with the venues for opening times and booking requirements. Also, keep an eye on the latest advice from the Scottish Government website and follow current guidelines.

If you are looking for an event that will put you in the Christmas spirit this is the one!
Go on a trail of magical and sparkling lights after dark. Snowflakes, water reflections, tunnel of light, giant baubles and festive music come together for a truly special experience.

Ready for a journey to the North Pole? Enjoy this year's event at the zoo, with a light trail taking you through Penguins Rock and exploring an enchanted ice forest and sparkling Christmas tree paths.

Christmas at the Palace of Holyroodhouse is coming soon. Visit the Palace, explore the historic Christmas traditions of the Royal Family, see the beautifully decorated State Apartments and make your own Christmas decoration to take home.
Edinburgh is famous for its many markets and despite the iconic city centre market being cancelled, there are many markets around town you can enjoy.
Buy local gifts, a decorative ornament or delicious artisan food and hot drinks and enjoy a wonderful festive experience.
