We want you to know that your health, safety and wellbeing is important to us
A wee note from Anna and The Edinburgh Address team…
We are delighted we could finally reopen from the 26th April and welcome you all again. Most if not all tourist attractions and hospitality venues have been open too!
We have missed our guests so much and are so excited that we can welcome you once again.
In line with rules on indoor gathering:
From 26 April - guests from one household can stay overnight in a self-catering.
UPDATE From 17 May - 6 people from 3 households can meet and stay overnight in a self-catering.
Under 12s do do count towards household numbers indoors.
From 17 May, Scotland has allowed entry to anyone from countries on a new international travel ‘Green List’. These 'Green List' travelers do not be required to quarantine on arrival, but will have to take a PCR test for COVID-19.
International Guests - We are open to take your bookings
We are currently taking bookings as usual. However, make sure you are allowed to travel. At the moment, countries in the Green List can travel for leisure/holiday reasons.
Traffic Light List - Rules in Place
Here are the rules that will be in place for each list:
Green: arrivals will need to take a pre-departure test as well as a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test on or before day two of their arrival back into the UK – but will not need to quarantine on return (unless they receive a positive result) or take any additional tests
Current countries on the green list are:
- Falkland Islands
- Faroe Islands
- Israel and Jerusalem
- New Zealand
- Portugal (including the Azores and Madeira). Please note that Portugal is moving to the amber list on Tuesday 8 June at 4 am.
- South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands
- St Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha
Amber: On the government website it is stated the following "You should not travel to a country or area on the amber list for holidays or for any other leisure purpose".
For those allowed to travel, on arrivals will need to quarantine for a period of 10 days and take a pre-departure test, as well as a PCR test on day two and day eight. There will be the option to take an additional test on day five to end self-isolation early.
Red: The Scottish Governament states "If you have been in a country or area on the red list at any point in the 10 days before arriving in Scotland, you will only be allowed to enter the UK if you are a British or Irish National, or you have the right to remain in the UK. You should not travel to red list countries or areas on holiday, or for any leisure purposes. On arrival in Scotland, you must quarantine in the hotel you’ve booked for 10 days."
Please contact us regarding any booking or query you may have Monday to Friday: 09:00 to 17:00 - UK Time, https://www.theedinburghaddress.com/contact-us

- Implement contactless key collection where possible
- Meet and greets carried out if necessary under social distancing measures
- Create a Covid-19 Cleaning Standards Checklist
- Online Welcome Books provided where possible
- Ensure staff adhere to social distance measures, appropriate protective equipment for cleaning and maintenance
- Every guest will be asked to confirm that they are symptom free
- Hand sanitiser and gloves provided for guests
- Use of effective disinfectants and sanitising products
- Specific attention to areas which receive high or frequent use
