The West End is a beautiful and lively part of Edinburgh, here are just a few reasons why we love it!

1.  Unique boutiques

Edinburgh’s West End is full of hidden gems, which even locals might not be aware of. These streets hide some of Edinburgh’s most luxurious boutiques, which sell beautiful items; from fashionable clothes to local art. One of our favourites includes Helen Bateman Scotland on Williams Street, designing one of a kind shoes and accessories.

2.
  Fantastic Restaurants

If you are looking for a nice dinner, you won’t be disappointed by the West End, offering you fine dining for every taste (and budget). We love Kyloe Restaurant and Grill, a delicious restaurant using fresh local produce to create and exciting and authentic menu.

3. Quirky Cafes

The West End is full of quirky cafes where you can relax in the colder winter months and enjoy a nice cup of tea or coffee. We love The Caffeine Drip, a newly opened South African café only a few minutes’ walk from Drumsheugh Apartment @ Drumsheugh GardensThe Studio @ Drumsheugh Gardens and The West End Retreat @ Lynedoch Place. Their portions are generous and their cakes are delicious, you can also get a quick bite to eat if you’re in a rush.

4. Pubs

Adding to the West End’s charm, there are a multitude of pubs and bars offering you local brews, fancy cocktails and great wine. 52 Canoes Tiki Den has one of Edinburgh’s largest rum collections  as well as delicious food, if you are just looking for a nice glass of wine why not go to Le DiVin, who have a large selection of wine.

It is easily accessed by car as well as public transport, with direct links to the airport and train stations.

As an added bonus the West End is only minutes’ walk to the Water of Leith and Dean Village, one of Edinburgh’s most picturesque locations.
