The Giant Lanterns of China - Edinburgh Zoo

From December 1st, the RZSS Edinburgh Zoo will display the Giant Lanterns of China, an installation of over 450 lanterns all around the zoo trails. Featuring a Panda, Lions, Dragons, be amazed by the magnificence of those lights.

Not only you will be able to walk around the path and admire those beautiful lights, but you will also have the privilege to shop hand-made crafts from Chinese artisans in their Christmas shop. And cherry on the top, there’s snacks too…!

A fantastic adventure for the children and their parents, or simply for animal lovers.

Sleep In The Park

An amazing initiative from Social Bite. The aim? Organise a massive sleep out in Princes Street Gardens to end homelessness in Scotland.

Inviting more than 9,000 people on the night of December 9th, Social Bite intend to raise enough fund to help homeless people finding housing, rehabilitation and working opportunities.

Christmas Tree Festival

The Edinburgh Christmas Tree Festival is an annual event in Edinburgh City centre. 40 Christmas trees light up St Andrew’s and St George’s West sanctuary, each telling a different story.

The Festival runs throughout Advent and brings together businesses, charities, church and city, offering space for everyone to reflect, celebrate  and wonder. The theme of this year’s festival is Joy to the World and we’re delighted to support charities Medecins sans Frontieres, PASDA and VOCAL.

Princes Gardens Concert & Fireworks
