Waltz through the striking townhouse entry lobby to find a lounge space which features typically Edinburgh high ceilings and striking decor which marries comfort with vintage glamour. Candelabra-style lighting, a lovingly restored fireplace and grand ornate windows lend the room an air of class and sophistication. A large dining table features room for 5 famished dinner guests, so invite your most fascinating dinner companions and enjoy a meal fit for a queen. This property’s kitchen is a sheer delight for any budding chefs; decorated in the same careful style, and featuring all the mod-cons one would expect in such a pedigree property (including coffee machine and dishwasher), this kitchen even features a charming loveseat bench.

When the night draws in, choose between two large, sumptuously decorated double bedrooms, Complimentary slippers and bathrobes (for longer stays) are treats you definitely deserve after a long day of discoveries. If you’d like to accommodate a fifth guest, single fold-out bed can be provided. A chic family bathroom completes this fantastic property, defined by a uniquely stylish bathroom suite. Of course, bathing at the Cornwall Street is no ordinary affair. Towels provided are sumptuous Egyptian cotton and toiletries are provided just for you by Scottish Fine Soaps.

The local area is Edinburgh’s unique Old Town which is the beating heart of Scotland’s vibrant capital. Within walking distance to Princes Street and a short stroll from Edinburgh Castle, the Old Town is home to some of Scotland's most popular attractions, including the Scott Monument and the Royal Mile. The Cornwall Street Residence sits just at the foot of the Castle Rock, so you can watch the sunset over the castle. The area is well serviced by Edinburgh’s efficient Lothian Bus service.

A meet and greet service is provided, whereby you will be met at the property to be provided with keys and to be shown the property. Please arrange your arrival with the property manager.

Entry to the apartment is from 16:00 onwards; however, please note that arrivals after 19:00 may incur a late arrival fee of £30 for unsociable hours, arrivals after 10 pm will incur a fee of £50 and arrivals after midnight, a fee of £60. Earlier entry can perhaps be arranged but depends if there is a departure at your chosen apartment that day. This can be confirmed within 48 hours of arrival. If you are arriving earlier than 16:00 on your day of arrival, it is always worth contacting the property manager as they will always endeavour to give you access as soon as possible. You may be able to arrive early and leave luggage and come back however this is not guaranteed.

The latest departure time is 11:00, however, a guaranteed later departure (up to 20:00) can be arranged for a fee of 50% of the daily rate for that day but please note this is subject to no existing booking arriving that day already.

A £200 refundable damage/security deposit is due 7 days before arrival, and refunded after departure.

All properties are strictly non-smoking, and do not accept hen/stag/party groups. At least one guest must be over 25 years old.

Please arrange your arrival with the property manager at least 24 hours before arrival.

Entry to the apartment is from 16:00 - 19:00. Later arrivals are possible, however must be confirmed in advance and are subject to a late arrival fee. The actual fee payable will be determined by the agreed arrival time.

Please note that there is an additional charge for use of the sofa bed. Therefore, if your group size does not meet the maximum occupancy and all guests can be accommodated in beds, the sofa bed will not be set up unless explicitly requested. For example: if your party size is 2 in a property that sleeps 4 using a double bed and a sofa bed, the sofa bed will not be set up unless requested and an additional fee paid.

Accessibility statement This property is on the ground floor, however, there is a small set of steps to access the front door. Therefore, it may be suitable for the elderly or infirm, but would not be accessible for wheelchair users.
