Calton Residence 5* Luxury

Everything we had hoped for and more! Just removed enough off the main road to escape the main crowds but still within 15 mins walk of all the sights! Beautifully decorated, modern kitchen and bathroom, HEATED FLOOR!! And all the comforts of home and then some. Would definitely be back to Jon’s home in a heartbeat:)

Communication with hosts is easy and responsive. Check-in is simple and well organized. The home is sparkling clean and comfortable. The kitchen is exceptionally well stocked. The Wi-Fi reliable and fast. The neighborhood is filled with markets and restaurants nearby. The location is perfect for exploring Edinburgh, we were able to walk to everything. I highly recommend this 5 star property, we’ll stay here again when visiting the city.

Amazing apartment in an ideal location! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Edinburgh in this clean, charming place. The apartment was cozy yet modern, offering a variety of updated appliances. The personal touches, such as coffee and tea, were much appreciated. The location is perfect, a short walk to the Royal Mile as well as plentiful restaurants and pubs. We would certainly stay here again in the future!

Jon’s place was absolutely excellent and we loved our stay. He was a great host: communication was quick and easy, and he left generous vouchers for the brilliant nearby deli in place of a welcome basket. The flat is cosy, finished to a high standard and very well equipped. Jon had left comprehensive instructions to help with appliances etc. It was also really quiet for a flat so centrally located. Having stayed at a few places nearby, I felt it had good value for money in the New Town. Beautiful gardens nearby and plenty of convenient shops. We hope to stay again. Many thanks.

A great flat, with big rooms and very well equipped kitchen. So nice to find a rental where it's possible to cook properly! The location is excellent - very central and yet also very peaceful.

Fantastic base to explore Edinburgh - beautifully finished, lovely fixtures and fittings (including very comfy bedding) and all very easy to use. The pictures really don't do it justice! The location is just off a side street, meaning it's still quiet whilst being a stone's throw to all the fun a city offers. Would highly recommend, and definitely stay here again next time we're here.

We have spent 3 night at Jon’s luxury apartment in August 21. We found the apartment to be a true reflection of the photo on the booking site. The beautiful period property was comfortable and furnished to a high standard in a tasteful, stylish fashion. The property is a good size and has everything you would need for a short break.
Communication with the host the self- check in and out was clear and simple. The host is on hand should you need to contact him.
Instead of a welcome pack the host left vouchers for a local excellent Italian Deli which was a lovely touch. We enjoyed a lovely relax lunch in the apartment.
We felt comfortable and relaxed in the apartment and the kitchen provided those little things you may need (we usually pack our own) but tinfoil / cling film etc.
The welcome pack provided all the information needed for appliances and house rules.
The apartment is in a great location (we have stayed in this area many times) it is convenient for both Old and New Town and within easy walking distance (35 mins walk) to Leith Shore where there are many places to eat. There is also the new St James Quarter shopping centre nearby.
There is outside courtyard if needed. Although a basement flat it doesn’t feel like it as the rear is several floors up.
We parked our car on the Q Park Omni Centre but it may be worth asking the host if there is a better option – we didn’t but wondered if there were any street parking options that weren’t permit holder spaces.
We highly recommend this property.

Johns apartment is just beautiful. Very spacious and beautifully decorated. Having the use of the outside space was great as the weather was lovely. The location is great too, minutes from Princes Street, plenty restaurants, bars , shops within easy walking distance. There are a few steps down to the apartment which are quite easily managed. I’ll be back
