It’s been a busy time here at the Edinburgh Address and we have lots of exciting updates coming soon but first we thought we’d share what we’ve been up to the past few weekends.

Erin, our resident Canadian took some time to explore more of Scotland, particularly Edinburgh and its surrounding areas. She even ventured across the bridge and headed up to St Andrews for the day. She didn’t play any golf but she take in all the sights of the famous town.

Erin set out for Cramond Island but was thwarted by some very aggressive swans and a high tide so she retreated to the nearest pub instead.

alt

She also visited Edinburgh Castle for the first time and is now recommending it to all our guests and reminds them to head to the ramparts to watch the 1 o’clock gun when it's fired. She then jetted of to Poland for a week! Lucky thing.

She loved it, although not as much as Edinburgh and we are so pleased to have her back!

Rachael, our snow bunny spent the last weekend in October at the Edinburgh Mountain Film Festival an event she goes to every year.

alt

She says it marks the start of the countdown to the winter season gets her excited to strap on her skis. The films and lectures are always really inspiring and even if you’re not an extreme sports junkie it’s a great event. Fun fact: at the after party the guest speaker – leading British climber Leo Houlding stole her beer, she says this makes them best friends, Leo was unavailable for comment however.

The last few weekends she also went to see Scotland take on the almighty All-Blacks and South Africa at Murrayfield. Our whole office is #backingblue!

Our yummy mummy Siobhan took a break from the kids and went to see the Celtic match at Celtic Park in Glasgow, she painted her nails green and white for the occasion and is still bouncing off the ceiling at the result, 2-1 against Barcelona.

She’s also been lucky enough to nab some free family tickets from Historic Scotland to visit Edinburgh Castle in celebration of St Andrew’s Day. The kids will be cultured whether they like it or not!

Siobhan also accompanied Anna to the World Travel Market in London last week where they met lovely people, learned lots and we've now got some great new ideas!

Anna has also been busy searching out the best place to get our festive cheer on, mulled wine all the way! We’ve finally decided that we are going to have our Christmas night out at Our Dynamic Earth, because a Christmas without Dinosaurs is no Christmas at all! I wonder if they will let us sledge down that giant ice cube they have?

Now that we’re less than 6 weeks from Christmas we’re running around like busy little elves trying to make sure that our guests have the best festive break ever. Stay tuned for some special festive deals!
