There's lots happening in Edinburgh in May and we're especially looking forward to enjoying Edinburgh's beautiful green spaces. These are real hubs for musicians and performers during the brighter months and there are so many great cafes and restaurants around about as well. We can't wait to break out the picnic rugs and Pimms! Lucky for everyone, we have some gorgeous apartments located in and around Princes St Gardens, Edinburgh Botanics, and the Meadows. Spring has sprung!
The Meadows
Our apartments around the Meadows are really lovely and within easy walking distance for an afternoon spent spread out on the grass in the sun reading a book before wandering up to Scoopz ice-cream parlour on West Nicholson Street for Edinburgh's largest range of ice cream and sundaes. This is situated dangerously close to our apartments The Gatekeeper's Cottage @ Blacket Estate and The Causewayside Apartment @ The Southside. Also nearby is The Salisbury Arms with a lovely beer garden, fantastic pub and restaurant menu with a Sunday carvery, and currently offering a free bar snack with a Bombay Sapphire and Fevertree cocktail or 3 free bar snacks with a sharing pitcher of G&T. It all has the makings of a glorious day out!
Also near the Meadows are Classic Marchmont Charm @ The Meadows and Marchmont Main Door @ Spottiswoode Road. For ice cream there's the amazing Chocolate Tree on Bruntsfield Place and the Edinburgh institution The Canny Man's on Morningside Road. The former serves some delcious as well as an impressive range of chocolatey luxuries while the latter offers over 50 different sandwiches (I kid you not) served on scrummy brown soda bread to complement one of the specially picked ales on tap. Before all of this refreshment of course, you'll have been luxuriating in the sun on the Meadows with its menagerie of creative activity or playing a small game of golf on the adjoining Bruntsfield Links.
