This beautiful self catering apartment occupies the entire ground floor of a charming small townhouse in an excellent location and in one of Edinburgh’s most perfect Georgian Squares. This wonderfully bright drawing room apartment which sleeps four people has a lovely sun catching drawing room with deep window seats and two most relaxing bedrooms and retains all the charms of the Georgian era with a sense of soft décor and luxurious comfort throughout with living flame open fire, working shutters, oak flooring and warm lighting. Virtually next door to the apartment are the glorious Glenogle Baths, restored to their Victorian splendour of 1897 with beautiful heated pool and sauna and open for a morning dip or evening wind down. Located in the quirky bohemian village of Stockbridge yet only a 10 minute walk to the city centre, Saxe Coburg Place very much enjoys the best of both worlds of village living in the heart of neo-classical New Town. Most find themselves quite smitten with Stockbridge village itself. It’s a great place for shop browsing by day and eating and drinking by night. Set around a maze of cobbled streets it's a marketplace for antiques and quality gifts, speciality food, many art galleries, second hand bookshops and vintage boutiques...and just a touch of eccentricity!

Interior layout Drawing room/Dining room

A beautifully proportioned, twin windowed, south facing drawing room enjoying sunlight by day and traditional Georgian street lamplight at night. There are ample comfortable cream sofas and armchairs surrounding the marble fireplace which has a living flame fire and large over mantle mirror. Lamps, rugs, pictures and soft décor add to the many comforts as does the illuminated oak glass bureau equipped with crystal champagne flutes. A dining area by the window completes this room and working shutters can be closed at night for extra snugness.


A small but well equipped kitchenette is located off the drawing room with dishwasher, washing/drying machine, fridge/freezer, microwave, gas hob and electric oven. Added luxuries include crystal champagne flutes for evening celebrations and a coffee maker for a relaxing Sunday morning.

Master Bedroom

The master bedroom is beautifully presented and enjoys a quiet and sunny position to the rear looking towards The Royal Botanical Garden. It has fitted wardrobes and a contemporary en-suite bathroom and deep window seat from which to admire the garden and views beyond.

Bedroom 2

A bright and peaceful room again located to the rear which enjoys the quiet and sunshine. It also has a deep window seat, a perfect reading spot overlooking the garden.

Waverley and Haymarket railway stations are readily accessible, as are several major bus routes into town and all driving routes to the City By-pass, ensuring access to other outlying districts, Edinburgh Airport and the Forth Road Bridge. The new tram is now in operation linking Edinburgh Airport with the city centre.


On street parking is available directly outside the flat. It is paid parking Monday-Friday, 8.30am-5.30pm and is free outwith these hours and at weekends.
