This Mews house was originally stables, probably belonging to the landed gentry who in the late 1800’s would stable their coach and horses when they came to visit the city, to enjoy its attractions!
Today, The Edinburgh Mews is a quiet and tastefully restored house, in the heart of Edinburgh city centre. This home provides everything required for an enjoyable and relaxing stay.
This modern city centre property is tucked away in a charming cobbled lane, being virtually traffic free, and located in an exclusive area.
The mews is set on two floors and comes with a single parking space, in an attached garage.
The current owners have kept this home in the family now for 3 generations, and has been loved and cared for, for over 60 years.
Interior layout The property has been very recently refurbished with a fresh modern twist.
A bright hall connects the entrance and the garage, leading to a comfortable relaxing area with an alcove desk space.
The first double bedroom is located behind a beautiful large solid wood sliding door. This modern bedroom features a double bed, a spacious fitted mirrored wardrobe and has a fresh and bright en suite en-suite shower room.
The feature wrought iron and wood stairs take you to the first floor of the room. This floor is illuminated by natural light coming through the many skylight windows. The first door to the left leads to a beautiful uncomplicated en-suite double bedroom with a comfortable king sized bed and good sized wardrobes and chest of drawers. The sloped ceiling adds character to the room and the skylight windows create a luminous space. The en-suite bathroom with it’s modern design and calm palette, features a shower and bath ideal for relaxing.
Under a spectacular gable ceiling the lounge and living area offer a happy and comfortable space to rest and dine after a long day of exploring and shopping. The living area with its decorative elements gives a home from home feeling, and this mood is carried into the dining area, giving the whole space a depth and sense of cosiness.
The dining table can accommodate up to 6 people.
The open plan kitchen offers a simple bright area to cook a lovely meal, and there is casual seating for 2 at a breakfast bar. The kitchen is fully equipped to cook, bake and entertain up to 6 people. The kitchen features fridge / freezer, oven, microwave and electric hob, dishwasher along with a kettle and toaster.
- For entertainment there is a 42 ‘ flat screen TV along with Freeview decoder; "Apple I TV " and B & W wireless speaker, and a selection of games, books and magazines.
Interior is tastefully decorated featuring Habitat furnishings.

Within walking distance from the city centre and many beautiful parks, independent shops, world class restaurants, bars and excellent cafés.
The Edinburgh Address require names and ages of all guests, as well as addresses and ID. We will require the lead guest to sign copy of our terms and conditions. We reserve the right to vet any booking. This apartment is not suitable for stag parties, hen parties or young single sex groups or parties. One member of the booking party must be over 25 years. There is a strictly non-smoking policy. A damage deposit of £500 is required one week before arrival and will be fully refunded pending no damages one week after your departure.
Limited mobility access This property is not suitable for those with mobility issues due to the number of stairs up to the first floor kitchen and lounge area.
This home is not ideal for young children due to a set of stairs with no protective gate

Wanting to arrive in style and relax after your fight. The Edinburgh Address can organise a transfer in a luxury Mercedes for up to 8 guests for £57.00.
- Airport Black Taxi
This option is better if you are travelling in a small group as a taxi from the airport to the west end of Princes Street is about £18 to £20 dependant on the time of day and traffic. So its not much more just to get a taxi straight to the property.
